An obsession is a relentless and intrusive feeling, thought, idea, or sensation that interferes with your life. Most people have routines and habits, for example, brushing your teeth or locking the front door before bed. But obsessions make daily living quite bothersome and tedious.
Many of Nora's characters have obsessions. These obsessions make their lives unbearable. In, Angelfire, the main character is Jake Cottrell. He's obsessed with drinking, driving with a death wish, sex, and the Internet. His obsessions place him in a war between heaven and hell.
